Urban Food Care is a charity offering low cost grocery & fresh food items in Menai. Our aim is to help support individuals & families who may need a hand accessing basic food items and other necessities due to long or short term financial difficulty.
If you hold a Centrelink Pension, Concession or Health Care Card or have recently experienced financial hardship, please drop into the shop & see how we may be able to help you. The shop is open to members during school terms:
· Thursdays 5pm to 7pm – with a free BBQ dinner
· Fridays 9.30am to 11.30am – with free morning tea
Membership is $5 per year, which gives access to heavily discounted groceries and a range of free items such as fruit, vegetables, bread, meat and other items as they become available.
